Love Letter to defrancisCO; You get it. Thank You.

Mounting the show defrancisCO at iO has been one of the most simple, gratifying projects of my career.

To think that people are understanding the reasons I wanted to do it, to think that it’s being received the same way that I saw it, it’s the greatest gift in return. And now, to have a person write an open letter to it… I feel like improvisation in it’s simplest form – just love for connection, risk, and play – we’re on course, remembering the reason this thing was all created.

“This show is inspiring because it isn’t a show about performing a complicated format or doing bits. It is a show about treating each other well. I guess what I’m saying is that the show wears its heart on its sleeve and it dares you not to fall in love with improv all over again.”
