Delusions (of what day it is)

First off, as I’ve posted briefly, my family is going through some hard times right now. Being with people is important thing in my life, and it never won’t be; People are the most important of all. Through this dark spell, I have been really inspired by how they seem to balance being open and driven by heart, reaching out to community, while still somehow remaining private in the most important moments. In short, they rule. My brother Vince is currently in process of a stem cell transplant. More on that later, and if you’d like to help, I’m trying hard to think of ways soon. Right now, good energy towards us would be received with a lot of gratitude.

With all this stuff going on, I have truly forgotten that there’s a TV SHOW COMING ON THAT I’M IN NEXT WEEK. That sounds ridiculous, but it’s true – not because I’ve forgotten the experience, but because I have no idea what day it is. Still thankful for the fun, Jake Sasseville & crew – and thank you for this entry. I saw it today. You are a silver lining in my week.

Also: NO ONE DIRECTS ME.
LET THIS BE A LESSON TO ALL OF YOU. 😉
Truly, your paragraph is an improviser’s dream.

“[Commentary from the Director:]
Molly (played by Tara DeFrancisco) was a pivotal character in the season one storyline. Yet we were moments before shooting and still hadn’t locked up Tara for the role. Fortunately for us, not only did she show up but she SHOWED UP! I guess Miranda (Writer / Script Supervisor) who knew Tara (who has an almost cult-like following in the Chicago improv world) was right. She was worth waiting for – and it never would have been the same without her. And as for directing Tara … you don’t direct Tara. You share your thoughts. She absorbs. And then she goes to work, making me (and everyone around her) look like a genius – a gift I have gladly accepted.” – David Sonkin
